Abstract :
The paper is concerned with the investigation of the 2D direction-of-arrival (DOA) (azimuth and elevation) estimation using a two-dimensional array of sensors in radio DF systems. The 2D interferometry DOA estimation algorithm for a five sensor uniform circular array (UCA) is addressed. Methods to resolve ambiguities in DOA estimation with a large aperture interferometer are investigated in detail. Simulation results show the good performance of the proposed DOA estimation approach.
