Abstract :
Finite element analysis was done to research the seismic behavior of brick walls strengthened with CFRP. Comparison on the bearing load capacity, deformation and reinforcement effect of different methods between the unreinforced and CFRP-reinforced walls shows that the method of external bonding CFRP can effectively improve the deformation capacity of brick masonry walls and enhances their shear capacity. In addition, the paper also discussed the reinforcement effect of different strengthening methods.
