Abstract :
A dielectric feed for dual band operation of non-offset parabolic reflectors is presented. It works in the bands 3.6-4.2 GHz and 6.425-7.125 GHz. Simulations show a VSWR<1.15 and an efficiency of more than 60% in a 3 m parabolic reflector with a subtended half angle of 90 degrees. Measurement data are not yet available as the corresponding feed network is still under development
