Abstract :
A DSP-based control technique to constant tension control for the rewinding roll of a paper machine is presented in this paper. The proposed methodology makes use of digital signal processing technique to investigate the stability of a multiple closed-loop control system and then partition its operating area into optimal working regions. A novel data acquisition method is introduced in this paper to obtain speed and tension fast responses. This technique has the characteristics of high reliability and flexibility in industrial applications
