Abstract :
A frequency-domain analysis of three-phase overhead power lines with sectionalized shield wires is presented. An odd-type interphase power-line carrier energization is assumed, and a range of frequencies is considered such that the spacing between adjacent towers approaches one-half wavelength. Simulation results show that the transmission line behaves as a bandstop filter. Important broadband resonance effects are shown taking place, with carrier transmission performance being severely affected
