Abstract
A novel multiuser detector for CDMA mobile communication systems is developed. The novel detector, which is a randomized version of a Hopfield neural network with soft decision feedback (SHN/soft), guarantees optimal performance by minimizing the corresponding quadratic form in a stochastic manner. The stochastic Hopfield network is the network where a noise is added to the state variables to reach the global optimum and thus achieving the best detection. The performance of the novel multiuser detector has been tested by extensive simulations in multipath fading channels, which prove its superiority compared to other traditional methods.
