Abstract :
In this paper, the shaking table test of a L-form and expanded single story masonry building in Damxung county is introduced, this is one part of the serial tests of seismic strengthening of comfortable housing project for farmers and herdsmen in Tibet autonomous region. The acceleration and displacement in elasticity, creaking and failure process are tested and the earthquake resistant capability of this type of building is analyzed. The results show that this kind of building can meet 9-degree requirement for fortification against earthquake, which can provide scientific basis for the earthquake-resistant, design and construction of housing projects for farmers and herdsmen in Tibet. Finally, some reasonable suggestions are given.
