  • Abstract
With the rapid development of the railway construction, more and more no-platform-column canopies are used in railway stations. The typical no-platform-column canopies of different column-span are studied by the separate variable method. The optimizing column-span is presented though contrastive analyzing economics and rationality of the no-platform-column canopies of different column-span, which could be 9m, 12m, 15m, 18m, 21m, 24m, 27m. The result shows that 15m and 18m are the best column-span of the no-platform-column canopy of three platforms and five lines. And the study further shows that when two swing columns are set along the span, the total steel quantity per unit area will decrease by about 25%, It has guiding significance for the design of the column-span, meeting the low-carbon economy and the environmental requirements.
