Abstract :
This work propose a power line (PL) channel identification methodology based on the impulse response theory using low cost digital standard technology. In order to achieve efficient broadband communications over PL channels in Small-Office Home-Office environments, it is necessary to improve the indoor PL channel models. Then the proposed methodology and model makes practical to generate a large database of channel responses for statistical analysis. This work presents additionally, measurements of low voltage network cable parameters to complete and corroborate the model. Finally the identifications results were validated theoretically and were contrasted with related works in the lower range of frequencies (DC-30 MHz). The proposed method extends to 100 MHz the results of the previous works, with low knowledge about the physical characteristics of PL channel.
