Title :
Analysis of three decades of rainfall rate data from dry inland and dry and wet coastal areas in Norway

Abstract :
Rainfall rate data from three Norwegian sites, each representing different typical climates, are studied. The sites are compared with respect to % occurrence of rain rates, and also compared with curves calculated from the latest ITU recommendation. The duration of rain events when including different minimum rain rates are calculated, and a closed mathematical expression is presented for each of the three Norwegian sites. The variability of rain rates is discussed in terms of a `long term stability” parameter
