Abstract :
A novel patch-via-stripline resonator for coplanar waveguide (CPW) is proposed, which exhibits wide stopband property. Combine the proposed structure with CPW defected ground structure (DGS), a novel wide stopband CPW lowpass filter (LPF) is designed. Its excellent lowpass property is verified by both simulated and measured results. This designed LPF has advantages of wide stopband, compact size, low cost and easy fabrication.
