Abstract
In this paper, we study the impact of the internal structure of the tertiary industry on the household consumption, using principal component regression analysis. We do empirical analysis about the relationship of the internal structure of the tertiary industry and consumption level in China to reveal the internal relationship between them: First, in the third intra-industry, the relative changes of the proportion of traditional service industries and modern services and the consumption level negative correlate; Second, industries such as the financial industry, science, education and public social services and consumption level positive correlate to different degree, while the real estate industry and consumer level negative correlate. According to the conclusion, policy recommendations have been raised to optimize the internal structure of the tertiary industry and then to promote the consumption level further.
