Abstract :
Based on Ionic Soil Stabilizer reinforcing the red clay of Wuhan, the red clay was treated by different matches of ISS and water at first, then was tested in the Atterberg limits test and pore test. The results show that the plastic index decreases, and pore of red clay changes after mixing the ISS into the red clay. In addition, Under identical pressure conditions, the reduction of pore volumes are principally caused by those pore volumes whose sizes are lower than 3.006101 nm after the red clay is treated by ISS. Finally, the reaction mechanism of reinforcement how ISS reinforces the red clay is analyzed by the aspect of the structure of pair-electricity layer and the the function of physics and chemistry.
