Abstract :
Microwave hyperthermia treatment has been widely used in medical cancer therapy. However, in most situations, because of uncertain effect prediction, the operations by doctors usually depend on their experiences, which would cause unnecessary damages to normal tissues or incomplete cancer necrosis. In this work, an approach of combining electromagnetic fields and thermal distribution computation with FDTD method is firstly introduced; the effects on the thermal distribution of different electrical and biological parameters have been considered and discussed. Finally, some vitro animal tissue experiments have been taken to validate the numerical analysis.
