Abstract
We demonstrate the effect of utilizing non-orthogonal, or correlated, codes for a CDMA wireless communication system that employs an adaptive array. The implications of this study are twofold: first, it illustrates the nature and extent of the degradations in the system performance as we vary the cross-correlation between users´ codes, and second, it explores the possibility of using the abundantly available non-orthogonal codes instead of the limited number of commonly employed m-sequences.
