Abstract :
Based on the method of hardware/software co-design, an optimum design scheme for elliptic curve public-key cryptosystem is designed and a new VLSI design for the system is implemented. Using 0.35-micrometers standard cell-library, the area of the chip is about 20,000 gates and system clock is 20 MHz. The speed of signature is above 16 times/sec, faster than other products released.
