Abstract :
This paper proposes a novel generation scheme of multiresolution model for animating human face model. Existing techniques deal with geometric information, during simplification processing. But our method produces a multiresolution human face model through simplification using iterative edge contraction based on new quadric in the feature points of facial animation and geometric features. Those features are found and preserved automatically. We show that our result of a multiresolution model is useful for facial animation by applying expression cloning technique.
