Abstract
An international standard for electrocardiographic recording, measurements, and analyses is under consideration. The standard would prescribe minimum performance for ECG interpretation accuracy using records from the well documented CSE database. Questions arise regarding the value that this would have for users. It is recommended that the standard not require minimum performance but instead require disclosure only of the performance of an automated program using well documented databases
