Abstract :
The letter presents a novel weakly conditionally stable finite-difference time-domain (WCS-FDTD) method using the trapezodial recursive convolution (TRC) technique for modeling dispersive media. The new scheme not only allows much larger time step compared with traditional FDTD , but also maintain the accuracy comparable to the piecewise linear RC (PLRC) technique The implementation of the new scheme is also simpler than its PLRC-WCS-FDTD counterpart.
