Abstract :
The development of spatio-temporal database systems is primarily motivated by applications which track and present mobile objects. In the typical application of moving object, we obtain the position of moving object from GPS or some other mobile devices. In this paper, we propose the model of a moving object, analyse the components of the information cost of a trip, discuss the deviation cost, update cost and uncertainty cost and how to calculate them. Finally, we describe the update policy of the moving object, and develop a simulation environment of our model.
