Abstract
The purpose of this paper is to provide some practical techniques for the application of chaos to communications. The chaotic synchronization and the initial code synchronization in the spatiotemporal chaotic spread spectrum multiple access (SSMA) systems are investigated. A matched filter architecture is proposed, which matches the driving sequence of the one-way coupled map lattices (OCML) spatiotemporal chaotic system. Using this matched filter at the receiver, both initial code synchronization and chaotic synchronization could be achieved at the same time. The application of this method to a one-to-many communication scheme is discussed.
