Abstract :
The progressive development of diagnostic and interventional procedures in the cardiac laboratory requires an improved documentation and quality control. The authors designed a relational PC database for the documentation of coronary angiography, ventriculography, hemodynamic measurement, aortography, angioplasty including all modern interventional techniques as well as diagnostic and interventional electrophysiology. The database is programmed with ACI 4th Dimension on Apple computer offering a complete window-based user interface. All data entry can be done by mouse-click and graphical buttons minimizing the need for keyboard entry. The database complies with the nationally agreed minimal basis cardiological and ACC recommended dataset
