A research on the strategies to develop the coal universities based on the SWOT analysis

The coal universities, formed through relying on the development of China´s coal industry, are universities with distinctive industry characteristics. After the change of system, their advantages and disadvantages emerge at the same time, and the opportunities and challenges coexist. Through the SWOT analysis, the coal universities should strengthen their self-constructions from scientific position, discipline construction, the construction of teacher and resource groups, looking for the meeting point with local economic construction, building a system of applied and innovative personnel training and so on.
