Abstract :
The iterative partial transmit sequences (IPTS) is an efficient algorithm to reduce the peak-to-average power ratio (PAPR) in orthogonal frequency division multiplexing (OFDM), but its linear approach is easy to be trapped in a local optimum solution, thereby, an improved IPTS (I-IPTS) algorithm is proposed. In the proposed algorithm, it breaks out of the linear search, and set the phase factor achieved by the previous iteration as the initial phase factor of the current search, thus the search is more close to the optimal phase factor after repetition. Simulation results show that I-IPTS algorithm can achieve good PAPR performance with low computational complexity, thus has high feasibility.
