  • Abstract
    This paper introduces a closed loop control system of active buck-boost inverter(ABI) with varied line and load conditions and working in each buck and boost modes. Inverter is developed with full bridge and boost AC/AC unit. The circuit consists of active switches and both stages share the same inductor and capacitor. This inverter gives a high efficiency and low cost. It is used in UPS applications. Operational analysis of both buck and boost modes are presented, and also the modulation applied in the ABI is also developed. Simulation results are enclosed to verify this topology.
