Abstract :
Summary form only given. For parallel demultiplexing of wavelength-encoded channels, it is desirable to have arrays of wavelength-selective photodetectors, to reduce crosstalk in spatially dense arrays. In order to satisfy this requirement, we need to have a high-Q cavity which can be achieved by minimizing cavity losses and increasing cavity length. In this work a simple and thus lower-cost approach has been investigated. The photodiodes are made in the “pie”-like shape and arranged within a 60-μm-diameter circle. The lattice-matched InAlGaAs-InGaAs-InP material system has been used in this study
