Abstract :
The assessment of the effects of current signal slopes on the stability of current-injection-control (CIC) converter is presented based on the modulation process analysis. The current loop gain was derived in a unified basis leading to small-signal models describing the modulation process. The combination of modulation process and transfer function analysis explain the instability phenomena exists in CIC converter. A conventional CIC loop around a buck dc-dc converter is used to get the transfer function of the CIC system, and to verify the result of modulation process discussed.
