Abstract :
In this paper we will review some recent current-mode analogue circuit techniques which have tremendous potential for optoelectronic circuit and system design It is generally desirable for optical pre-amplifiers to minimise the equivalent input referred noise current, to achieve as high gain as possible, to have good closed loop stability and to get wide bandwidth for correct operation at the desired data rate
