Abstract :
The vibration induced by blasting operation is one of the leading factors of waste dump stability near the open-pit, also the critical value of vibration velocity plays an important role in the waste dump stability evaluation. At present, the blasting vibration in waste dump dose not gain enough attention, and there is not vibration empiric formula in waste dump design specifications. By analysis of the propagation characteristic of blasting vibration in waste dump, a formula of blasting vibration attenuation is raised. Based on field test data of blast vibration, an empirical equation is simulated according to the least squares theory. The result shows that the measured value agree well with the predicted value which verified by the docimastic sample. The formula of waste dump blasting vibration attenuation is proved to be reasonable and operable.
