Abstract :
The adjustment of antennas on high speed train is a troublesome problem in engineering. In this paper, the influence of ground-plane to monopole antennas is studied. Then the high impendence ground-plane (HIGP) structure is introduced and applied to the antenna. The results of such antenna with and without the HIGP structure are compared. Simulation and experiment results show that HIGP structure can reduce the ground-reliance of the monopole antennas.
