  • Abstract
This research focuses on weathering resistance of painting material on mortar. Four kinds of painting materials (acrylics paint, epoxy resins paint, inorganic water-based paint, and all weather paint) were used on mortar. Three deterioration processes - accelerated deterioration of 572 hours in oven at 50 and 75 degree C, accelerated deterioration of 2000 h of mist testing, and 572 hours Xenon light deterioration - were employed to discuss the properties of each painting material. Experimental results show that compressive is little change with different painting materials in deterioration processes. With regard to the deterioration in solar simulation, color and gloss significantly change before 200 hours; classification belongs to a distinct color change. And the acrylic paint has greatest change. Although the temperature deterioration on the mechanics properties of specimens are slightly, but water permeability and chloride diffusion coefficients have larger changes, should be able to react to the temperature on the growth of micro-cracks.
