Abstract :
The power system for the Texas Experimental Tokamak (TEXT) is being upgraded to provide additional pulsed power capability necessary for divertor and auxiliary heating experiments. Two 18.75 MVA motor-generator sets, two 500-V 25000-A pulsed power supplies, a -95-kV 50-A pulsed power supply and related equipment are being added to the existing system to meet the requirements. A description of the major components of the upgrade is given
