RFID Application in IT Assets Management

With the demand of IT services applied for the enterprises increasing, a more efficient and secure IT assets management system is now needed for every company. This paper discusses the RFID application in the IT assets management with details, which involves system structure, hardware configuration and information process. Moreover, the author provides with several practicable approaches to configure cabinet RFID antennas, which can be used under different situations. At last, the paper draws the conclusion that a RFID assets management can save time and resources, while improving information accuracy as well. It is proved through data and simulations to be a necessary means when managing IT infrastructure within the company.
