Abstract :
This paper presents a planar antenna in low-temperature co-fired ceramic technology for a sing-package. The antenna has an elliptical radiator fed through a coplanar waveguide transmission line, and four slots are etched on the elliptical patch to adjust the path and length of the current, improving the return loss characteristics (especially in low frequency) and bandwidth performance. The proposed antenna has been simulated and analyzed. Results show that the prototype antenna has achieved a bandwidth of 30 GHz, from 25 GHz to 55 GHz. Additionally, the effects of varying parameter values of the structure have been investigated. The LTCC antenna occupies only 4 × 4 × 0.576 mm3.
