Abstract :
The SPART method presented here was developed for the real time computation of the preferential plane of VCG spatial loops. The space loop transformation is done using the modified Karhunen-Loeve transform (KLT). The major loop (ML) is the result of such transformation. An algorithm executes morphology analysis and adaptive clustering using Fourier descriptors (FDs) of ML. The respiration signal was derived based on the calculations of spatial electrical axes of ML. The SPART method estimates the spatial beat-to-beat parameters variability and decreases the respiration-induced influence. Preliminary testing confirms the utility of the SPART method to the real-time analysis of the VCG signal during electrophysiological investigations.
