Abstract :
This paper describes techniques to implement frequency-agile RF front-end ICs and modules for application to intelligent cognitive radios (CRs). The CR system architecture with an efficient spectrum-sensing technique has been proposed. The feasibility of its CMOS IC implementation is discussed for the functional building blocks of the spectrum-sensing units and the frequency-agile RF front-end.
