Abstract :
In this paper we explore the use of queries in hypermedia applications. We discuss how to build high level navigational structures by using an object-oriented query language, in the context of the object-oriented hypermedia design method (OOHDM). We first discuss the OOHDM and its impact on hypermedia design; next, we motivate the use of queries in hypermedia applications as a way to partially solve the orientation problem. We later discuss how to use the query language to generate navigational structures; a real application is used to show the scope of our approach
