Abstract :
In this note we present an energy based nonlinear controller for series resonant inverters. We succeed to regulate voltage at the load eliminating the distortion caused by power switches and without any knowledge of the resistive load. The latter is achieved using a discrete-time integral adjusting law which is designed using the sector condition concept of static nonlinearities. We are allowed to choose the desired peak level of the regulated voltage in a set of values which is only constrained by the DC voltage of the power supply, which represents a reasonable limit in these inverters. We prove asymptotic stability in a domain which can be enlarged arbitrarily by means of a suitable selection of the controller parameters.
