Abstract :
This paper demonstrates the linearity results of two CMOS phase shifters. The linearity comparison is conducted between the design of and the new design, and the high-linearity design has been identified through the measurements. Both phase shifters can achieve a more than 180deg phase tuning range over 2.4 GHz to 6 GHz bands. The measured 1dB output power of the new design can be as high as 0.44 dBm. We first report the AM-PM performance for phase shifters, and the relative phase deviation around P1dB driving power level is less than 3deg. The phase shifter is potentially suitable for the application in transmitters
