Abstract :
The theory of synergetic control was introduced in a power electronics context in the previous paper (Santi et al. (2002)). In this paper we review the theory, then focus on some practical aspects with reference to both simulations and actual hardware. In particular, we address the step load response and experiment with several different approaches. Adaptive and other control laws are introduced to improve the control performance. A small-signal analysis is presented, which allows prediction of the closed-loop response time.
