Abstract :
An iterative homotopic approach for the solution refinement of the stationary Fokker-Planck equation is presented. It is shown that significant improvement in the accuracy of the approximation can be achieved with a small number of degrees of freedom with the use of a naturally suited norm on the solution domain. The partition of unity finite element method (PUFEM) is used for the numerical implementation.
