Abstract :
This paper describes a hierarchical matching method based on multichannel filtering. Zero-crossings extracted from a set of one-octave LoG filters provide features at different scales. A signature using optimal coding is proposed and has a higher entropy than Fourier descriptors. Voronoi diagram is used to guide matching from coarse to fine. The method has been successfully applied for matching electrophoretic images
