Abstract :
Label-free molecular sensing is a technique where technology cannot compete with nature. As an example, the accuracy of chemical senses in insects is order of magnitude greater than conventional electronic noses. However, recent advances in the detection of single molecules offer great promise in this field which is fundamental for enhancing our understanding of subtle biological mechanisms and for opening new promising in diagnostics and therapeutics. This presentation will overview the most recent challenges analyzing new devices for label-free single molecule detection.
