Abstract :
This paper presents the design considerations for an AC/AC converter for high frequency AC distributed power system (DPS) applications. The developed circuit features simple structure and control strategy, high efficiency with sine wave output. A low power loss startup circuit for two stage converter is also proposed. Experimental results from a 200 VA 30 VAC/1 MHz converter with efficiency of 90% confirm the validity of the theoretical analysis.
