Abstract :
The aim of the study was to evaluate whether myocardial structural changes during acute rejections (AR) after heterotopic heart transplantation would alter the spatial distribution of myocardial echo amplitudes, assessed by echocardiographic texture analysis using Cooccurrence- and Run Length Matrix. Results showed that only severe AR are associated with significant changes of texture analysis parameters. Thus, texture analysis is not suitable to improve the sensitivity of AR diagnosis.
