Abstract :
Theoretical results describing the cross polarization characteristics of coaxially fed annular ring microstrip patch antennas are presented. The cavity model is used to investigate the radiation characteristics of annular microstrip ring radiator. Numerical results showing the variation of cross polarization level for different feed positions and two different outer to inner radius ratio, are given when the patch is excited in the TM/sub 11/ or TM/sub 12/ mode.
