Abstract :
The present paper gives a brief introduction to the common method of evaluation of loess collapsibility in today. It lays emphasis on the mechanism loess collapsibility. On the base of analysis about influence factors, to take influence factors of loess collapsibility as property index for evaluation of loess collapsibility and implement evaluation of loess collapsibility by support vector machine. Through comparing the forecast data with the measured data, the feasibility and rationality are proved that support vector machine is used for evaluation of loess collapsibility. It provides a new method and means for evaluation of the loess site that the theory of support vector machine is applied successfully in the evaluation of loess collapsibility. It is a positive meaning on the regional evaluation of loess collapsibility.
