Abstract
A new broadband dual frequency microstrip antenna is presented in this paper. A multiport network model is used for analysis. The experimental results are in reasonable agreement with the analysis. The impedance bandwidths of 290 MHz at 2.2 GHz and 230 MHz at 2.55 GHz are obtained with single feed port and substrate thickness=3 mm, /spl epsiv//sub r/=2.85. The polarized characterizations over these bands are also discussed.
