Abstract :
This paper discusses the design and measurements of a Gunn-diode active notch antenna and compares the results with a similarly configured passive antenna. A simple transmission line model is used to predict the slotline ring´s resonant frequency. The numerical results compare well with the experimental results. Also the active antenna´s radiation patterns compare well with those measured for the passive antenna.
