Abstract :
An accurate analysis of two different wide slot geometries is presented. A computer program that uses global polynomial basis functions and the Galerkin technique is employed. Computational data and experimental data are presented that verify the accuracy of the computer model and illustrate the significance of the longitudinal electric field in wide slots that overlap the centerline of the waveguide.
